Cremations

A farewell that reflects the life it's honouring

No two families need the same thing, and no single option is the ‘right’ way to say goodbye. We’ll walk you through your options and help you decide what feels right for honouring the person you’re farewelling, explaining what each choice actually means along the way, so you’re choosing based on what fits your family, not on assumptions about what a cremation should involve.

Consultations are available in person or remotely, including weekends and after-hours. We can meet you at our office, in your home, in care, or wherever you feel most at ease. Every arrangement is clearly documented to provide for peace of mind.

Validating Life with Cremation.

A cremation is more than a service. It becomes a promise to honour a life by gently closing the circle of life, with dignity, care and respect. From our experience, these are the most requested cremation packages we’ve built at Closing Circles, although if none of them quite fit, we can shape something individual around your needs.

Which option is right for your family?

There’s no correct answer here, only what reflects your family traditions and the person you’re farewelling.

  • Choose Direct Circle if a quiet, unattended farewell feels right, and you’d prefer to gather with family in your own way, in your own time, separate from the cremation itself.
  • Choose Dignified Circle if a brief moment of presence, a chance to say goodbye in person, matters to your family, without needing a full ceremony around it.
  • Choose a Complete Circle if you want a full service, gathered farewell, chapel, celebrant, tributes, and shared remembrance, all in one occasion.

Whichever you choose, we’ll explain every part of what’s included and what it means in practice, before you decide, not after.

Who This is For?

  • You’re arranging a cremation for a loved one and want each option explained clearly, without pressure or jargon
  • You’re planning ahead for yourself and want to understand what a cremation actually involves
  • You want a moment of presence, but not the formality of a full ceremony
  • You want the complete gathered farewell — chapel, celebrant, tributes
  • You’ve decided against a formal service, but still want everything handled properly
  • You’re comparing cremation and burial and want an honest explanation of what each involves (see our Burials page)

If death hasn’t yet arrived, there’s still time to plan. Booking our End-of-Life Plan lets you make these decisions yourself, while you’re here to make them, rather than leaving your family to guess later.

Costs & Practical Considerations

Costs can vary depending on any extra service provided for example a different coffin selection or any additional elements such as flowers or venue hire. We provide a clear, itemised quote so you know exactly what is involved and can make decisions comfortably.

Do you need a service at all?

Some families want the full Cremation Service. Others want the quiet dignity of a 30-minute viewing. Some want no formal service at all, just a Direct Cremation, with a memorial gathering held later, in their own time, on their own terms.

If a service isn’t wanted, that doesn’t mean nothing needs to be planned. There are still legal and practical details to manage properly, which is exactly what we’re here for.

If it would help to think through those wishes in more depth beforehand, our End-of-Life Funeral Planning service exists for exactly that.
