Which one is right for you?

There’s no correct answer here, only what reflects your family traditions and the person you’re farewelling.

  • Choose a Living Wake if you want to celebrate your own life, story, and relationships while you’re here to be part of it.
  • Choose a Memorial if you’re gathering to remember and honour someone who has passed, separately from or in place of a traditional funeral service.

Who This is For

  • You want to celebrate your own life and relationships, in your own way, while you’re here
  • You’re planning ahead and want a living wake as part of your End-of-Life wishes
  • You’re remembering someone who has passed, separately from or instead of a traditional service
  • You want a gathering that feels personal, not formal or fixed to convention
  • You’re not sure whether a wake, memorial, or something else entirely is right, and want to talk it through

There’s still time to plan your End-of-Life Plan, this lets you make these decisions yourself while you’re here to make them, rather than leaving your family to guess later.

Do you need a funeral service?

Some people don’t want a formal service at all, just a Direct Cremation, with a memorial gathering held later, in their own time, on their own terms. Others want friends and family around before they pass, to celebrate together with a living wake.

Whether a traditional farewell or a memorial, there are still some legal and practical details to manage properly, which is exactly what we’re here for.

Let us help you through those wishes in more depth beforehand, our End-of-Life Funeral Planning service exists for exactly that.
