Closing Circles
End-of-Life Funeral Planning

Plan your farewell while you're still here to shape it

Someday, someone who loves you will be asked about your wishes for your funeral. They'll either be guessing, or holding your answers, in your own words, in their hands. One conversation with us decides which.

Based in Perth Western Australia, we are available 24 hours a day to come to you to help families honour one life’s with empathy, clarity and professionalism.

Do they know the real you?

We believe the pen belongs to the person who’s telling the story.

End-of-life planning captures who you truly are while you’re still here to be asked, so the people you love are never left guessing.

Your story. Your pen.

The gap most families don't see

Most families believe they’ve already had the conversation. A pre-paid plan is signed, a few wishes have been mentioned over dinner, and it feels sorted.

Sorted and prepared are not the same thing.

A pre-paid funeral locks in a coffin and a cost. It does not capture the music, the words, the photo, the people, the parts that make a farewell recognisably yours. Those details live only in you, and the window to ask for them closes without warning.

A pre-paid funeral also does not capture the practical details of your life that are required for your loved ones to organise things when you are gone.

That’s the gap Closing Circles was built to close.

Drawing a heart in the sand

Tubby’s farewell

Tubby was a shearer from the Wheatbelt, a man who could go a full day on a dozen words. Terminally ill with prostate cancer, he had chosen voluntary assisted dying, on his own terms, in his own time. When his daughter finished writing his eulogy, he asked her to read it to him, out loud, at his bedside, while he could still hear it.

So she did. As he listened to his own life read back to him, in his daughter’s voice, he learned what she had seen all along, how she had experienced him as a father, things about himself that even his own wife didn’t know.

His verdict: “That would be the bee’s knees.”

When the day came, there was no guessing. His songs. His photo. His grandchildren carrying him. And afterward, his simple, unapologetic pleasures on every table: a glass of his favourite red raised in his honour, and a second hot cross bun for anyone who wanted one, “because he could.”

That’s what a plan makes possible. A farewell that could only have been Tubby’s.

Shared with the kind permission of Tubby’s family.

The End-of-Life Plan

Face to Face funeral arangment

One conversation, while there's still time to have it

The End-of-Life Plan is a 90-minute, face-to-face conversation with a licensed Funeral Director with more than a decade in the industry. Together, you’ll walk through every part of how your farewell could look: the options, ideas, music, locations, photos, the people you’d want involved, because the questions deserve to be asked while you can still answer them.

You leave the same day with your own keepsake booklet, built during the session, with room left intentionally for you to keep adding to it in your own time.

Your investment: $330. One payment.

It can be arranged Australia-wide, and it stands on its own, whether or not a funeral, or Closing Circles, is part of what comes next.

Our package for validating final wishes is designed to bring clarity, comfort, and assurance during life’s most tender moments. We listen deeply to your voice, values, and vision, ensuring every detail reflects your intentions with dignity.

With gentle coordination and heartfelt care, we help transform your wishes into a clearly documented plan that is respected and remembered. In doing so, we ensure your voice remains central in every decision.

Our package Includes:

  • Listen to Your Wishes – We begin with your voice, your values, and your vision to create your plan.
  • Explore Farewell Options – From intimate gatherings to formal services, we help you discover what’s possible.
  • Clarify Practical Details – We explain legal, logistical, and emotional considerations with transparency.
  • Create a Personalised Plan – Together, we shape a farewell that reflects your life and legacy and construct a copy of your plan.
  • Provide a Digital Copy of the Plan – Your plan is documented and shared for peace of mind and easy reference.
  • Weekday, Weekend or After Hour Arrangements – We can come to you or arrange a time in or office

What Changes After One Conversation

Does this sound like you?

  • You’ve thought about your own funeral, probably more than anyone around you realises
  • It’s come up with your family in passing, but never the specifics
  • You may have arranged a pre-paid funeral, now signed and filed away. But what now?
  • Nobody has actually asked you the real questions: which songs, which photo, which readings, who speaks, who would be hurt not to be asked
  • You’re worried about what you’d be leaving your family to work out on their own
  • The answers still live in one place: your own head

If the time came tomorrow, the people you love would be guessing about the details, doing their best under grief, but never entirely sure they got you right.

Where you’ll be after the conversation

  • Your wishes exist outside your own head in a keepsake booklet your family can hold
  • The real questions have finally been asked: your songs, your photo, your readings, your people, all captured by someone who knew what to ask
  • Anything you weren’t ready to answer has its place too. The booklet leaves room for you to keep adding in your own time
  • Your family will one day walk into the hardest week of their lives carrying a plan made by you
  • You’ll have been asked, while you’re still here, who you really are and how you want to be remembered

It won’t make the goodbye painless. Nothing does. But it will make it certain: a farewell that is unmistakably, uniquely yours.

Who This is For:

  • You’re in good health but thinking ahead, perhaps prompted by a recent funeral, or simply wanting things understood and in place long before they’re needed.
  • You’re a couple planning together, each of you wanting the other never to face the guessing.
  • You’re living with a terminal diagnosis, perhaps on a VAD pathway, and you want to shape your farewell while there’s still time to be part of shaping it.
  • You’re a son or daughter opening the conversation for your parent. You can’t make a plan for someone, but you can give them the door. Many plans begin with a son or daughter reaching out first.
  • You’ve decided against holding a funeral, but the details of your story still deserve capturing, plus you want to capture the practical details required to make it stress-free for those you leave behind.
  • You already hold a pre-paid plan, and you want to add the part it doesn’t cover: you.

If death has already arrived and planning is no longer possible, you’re not too late for help. Please call us and we’ll sit with you to explain all of your options before you make any decision.

No funeral does not mean a plan is not needed

Many families choose not to hold a funeral at all, and assume that decision means there’s nothing left to plan. There are still many things that need to be planned, both legally and practically. And the person passing may still have final wishes that need to be thought through with family. An End-of-Life Plan makes sure everything is organised properly, whether a service happens or not.
